Rumah ini berada pada ujung kompleks yang berbatasan dengan pos satpam pada bagian utara dan rumah tetangga pada bagian selatan. Karena berada paling luar, bangunan ini sangat terlihat dari jalan raya. Lahan tetangga bagian barat adalah sawah, sehingga bangunan ini sangat terlihat dari arah barat.
This house is located at the end of the complex which is bordered by a security post in the north and a neighbor’s house in the south. Because it is located on the outside, this building is very visible from the highway. The neighboring land to the west is rice fields, so this building is very visible from the west.
Pengembangan awal dari rumah ini bertitik tolak pada kebutuhan ruang dan budget yang sudah ditentukan di awal. Sehingga pengembangannya pun harus mengacu pada hal tersebut. Kami membuat denah layout bangunan dan fasad yang menurut kami cukup efisien baik secara fungsional maupun biaya. Pada lantai satu, kami tidak banyak merubah denah bangunan dengan asumsi bahwa sebagian besar dinding masih bisa dipakai. Jika dinding masih bisa dipakai, pondasi menerus juga masih bisa dipakai.
The initial development of this house is based on space requirements and a predetermined budget. So that its development must also refer to this. We make building and facade layout plans which we think are quite efficient both functionally and cost-effectively. On the first floor, we didn’t change the building plan much with the assumption that most of the walls were still usable. If the wall can still be used, the continuous foundation can still be used.
Untuk perubahan lantai satu hanya sebatas perubahan tata letak ruang, tanpa banyak merubah bangunan eksisting. Beberapa perubahan yang kami lakukan diantaranya :
- Perubahan fungsi salah satu ruang tidur menjadi ruang keluarga.
- Penggeseran dinding pintu utama sehingga ruang tamu menjadi lebih luas.
- Area dapur menjadi area dalam.
The change to the first floor is only limited to changing the layout of the room, without changing the existing building much. Some of the changes we made include:
- Change the function of one bedroom into a family room.
- Shifting the main door wall so that the living room becomes more spacious.
- The kitchen area becomes an indoor area
